Armored soldiers will require (a) a direct, clean hit to their throat where their armor’s weaker, (b) a heavy sniper rifle to penetrate their helmets, (c) special armor-piercing/AP bullets, (d) an upgraded melee kill perk, or (e) just blasting them to smithereens.Scopes with higher magnification would be helpful. Some rival snipers are quite skilled and might spawn in very distant locations from where you are.
You’ll need (a) a light sniper rifle with a faster rate of fire, (b) a heavy sniper rifle though you’ll need to line up your shot to penetrate both targets, (c) a sniper rifle turret. Many troopers will patrol in pairs and some will be near each other. But, if you positioned yourself properly, you won’t even need mines, decoys, or other defenses. Enemies will, at times, try to find your sniping perch. It’s also worth noting that you’ll want high noise reduction (weapons with silencers) and more silent movement if you don’t want an entire base to get alerted to your presence. Regular troopers just require a shot to the head to get downed, no worries there.Another concept is understanding what works against certain enemies and choosing skills or loadouts that’d be effective:
